Product Description

The products can roughly be divided into two classes: Magnetic Thrust Bearing (MTB) and Magnetic Suspension Bearing (MSB). Each of the two kinds consists of two parts that separately contain one permanent magnetic ring. One of the two parts is designed to connect the axis of the disk of the meter, and can rotate along with the disk. The MTB assembly has this part of it fixed on the lower end of the axis. In this assembly, the two magnetic rings have the same magnetic poles face to face, so the magnetic force can push the disk up in the air. However, the MSB assembly has it fixed on the upper end of the axis. In this assembly, the two magnetic rings have the different magnetic poles face to face, so the magnetic force can attract the disk and make it suspend in the air. Because there is a balance existing between the magnetic force and the gravity of the rotating portion of the kilowatt hour meter, when the disk turns around and around, there is no friction. So these kinds of bearing can survive for a long time.
